WebRTC.ventures CEO and founder Arin Sime will be the 2019 chair of the WebRTC track for the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Real-Time Communications conference.  The conference will be held at IIT’s campus in Chicago on October 14-16, 2019.

Our team is pleased to be part of the conference again, and Sime noted that “our team has been a regular part of the IIT RTC conference for the last several years as speakers, exhibitors, and attendees, and we have found it an excellent way to learn the latest trends in real-time communications from academia and corporate speakers.  It’s also provided an opportunity for us to network with industry peers as well as meet IIT graduate students entering the workforce.”

Alberto Gonzalez Trastoy, a lead engineer for WebRTC.ventures and IIT alumnus, participating in a panel discussion at the 2016 IIT RTC conference.

Sime continued, “I’m excited to work with the IIT RTC team to make the WebRTC track a compelling combination of tech talks, use case exploration, and panel discussions from experts and practitioners using WebRTC to create communication applications.”

Proposals are being accepted now for potential conference speakers, and more information on the conference and proposal submission is available at http://www.rtc-conference.com/2019/

WebRTC communications have grown significantly since the open source standard was first announced in 2012.  Web Real Time Communications (WebRTC) allows JavaScript code to access the microphone and camera via the browser, permitting peer-to-peer video, audio, and data connections to be created directly between browsers or mobile apps. WebRTC is now being used in billions of browsers and mobile phones by apps such as Google Hangouts, Facebook Messenger, SnapChat, and many, many others.

In addition to WebRTC communications, the RTC conference will also include tracks on IP telecommunications, programmable telecommunications, telecom APIs, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Next Generation Emergency Communications Services.  A communications hackathon will also be hosted by TADHack at the same location on October 12-13, 2019.

WebRTC.ventures is a leading integrator of WebRTC communication APIs into custom applications to build video, voice, and data exchange applications for a wide range of industries, including telehealth, online education, broadcasting, and more.  For more information on WebRTC.ventures, visit https://webrtc.ventures/.
