Henry Ford was once quoted as saying, “The two most important things in any company do not appear in its balance sheet: its reputation and its people”.  You know what we do at webRTC.ventures — we bring people together by closing geographical gaps using real time communication. However, you may not know WHO we are…that is until now. Each week, we have been introducing you to a member of our team. This week we would like to introduce you to Adriana Benavides, Project Lead.

How do you spend your day?

Adriana:  The most common place to find me is in front of my computer with a big mug of coffee. On a daily basis, I have multiple calls with different teams and clients, and then when I’m not in meetings, I’m either designing or doing some planning. I try to balance work and daily activities, so I love walking my dog a couple of times a day, that gives me a nice break between meetings or big blocks of work.

What do you do when you are not at work?

Adriana:  I like exploring new places, I live in Costa Rica which makes hiking in the mountains or going to new beaches quite easy. Basically, when I’m off work I love going out and being as far away from computers as possible.

How did you start at webRTC.ventures?

Adriana: I met Mariana in college when I was doing my masters degree, she was my professor and every time she’d mention a new project I’d be like wow, that’s really cool! So one time I asked her how she found those projects and I guess she saw my interest and asked me if I wanted to work with her. Then I met Arin and David and after some calls I joined the team. I’m in love with my job because I always learn new things and I really enjoy challenges and that’s what keeps me going :).

What interests you most about webRTC technology?

Adriana:  Accessibility to services and connection, it’s a technology that can bring people closer together, and can provide access to health, education, and many more areas.. no matter the location or other factors.
